John Golden, Dr. Brian Cole Ascend Mt. Rainier to Raise Awareness for Orthopedic Research
On Sunday, July 19, John Golden and Dr. Brian Cole will embark on another climb to further the cause of orthopedic research.
Check the Track Team Progress or Live Climb Progress to follow the LiveActive team as they attempt to summit the 14,410 volcano known as MT. Rainier.
The plan for the 11 climbers and 4 guides making up the LiveActive team is to reach the summit around 10AM Chicago time on Wednesday July 22.
The climb comes only two months after John's climb of Mt. Everest on his transplanted knee.
All donations, sponsorship revenue, and gifts will be used to fund much needed orthopedic research and will not be used to fund the Rainier climb.
John Golden and Dr. Brian Cole created the LiveActive Fund designed to generate the much needed funding to advance orthopedic research, education and create awareness for alternative treatments, therapies and training to allow people to resume an active lifestyle.
